Cultural Recovery Centre
Biindigen! We’re here to support you as you recover your culture for you, your family, and your community!
“Strong communities are born out of individuals being their best selves.”
— Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, Alderville First Nation, part of the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg
When one person grows stronger, the whole community grows stronger. Our community's Cultural Recovery Centre is restoring our culture and our language through connecting to the Land and learning to feed ourselves. By strengthening our identity as Anishinawbe people, and learning about our own resilience, we are healing addictions and breaking the cycle for the generations to come.
We all have an important role to play in bringing back the “spirit of the hunt” within our nation, and that starts with being our best selves. Are you ready to join the movement?
